 Asheville Savings Bank to place time capsule in vault until 2036

ASHEVILLE, NC (Jan. 24, 2012) To commemorate 75 years of service to the community, Asheville Savings Bank is marking significant bank achievements and milestones with a historical time capsule. The capsule will travel to each Asheville Savings Bank banking center location before being locked in the downtown vault until April 2036.

The time capsule will be on display for the community to view at each branch location for one week and end its tour at the Downtown Banking Center. The capsule has many unique items including photos depicting Asheville Savings Bank’s 75-year story, a written history of the organization, historic newspaper ads and promotional items representing different time periods. The capsule will be placed in the vault on April 9, 2012 and opened in 25 years.
